Meet StoreyWood Distributors Kirsten co-founded in 2019 with her husband, Kim, after living in the Netherlands and being inspired by the range of non-alcoholic craft beers available in every cafe and restaurant in Amsterdam.
Wanting to give Australians the same freedom of choice in
drinking, they decided to source and import the tastiest craft non-alc beers around.
How we’ve grown:
Their story is one of transformation – Kirsten went from being an international
lawyer in the Hague, the Netherlands, to working in foreign affairs in the public service, to launching a non-alcoholic craft beer business.
After running Storeywood as a side hustle until the end of 2021, Kirsten made the call to switch to working on the business full time.
Kirsten and Kim have gone from storing pallets of beer in their living room and selling one or two cases a week to friends and family, to supplying hundreds of major and independent retailers across Australia.
What we’re proud of:
Kirsten is proud of the exclusive importing relationships she has built with
some of the biggest names in non-alc brewing, and of the fact that she has launched so many international brands and new products in Australia!
Kirsten is also super proud of the beers she imports, which Storeywood exhibited for the first time in the Australian International Beer Awards 2022, and which brought home three medals in the non- alcohol category!
Future:
Kirsten is excited to be part of the growing non-alc community in Australia. Storeywood is helping to shift the needle for premises to stock more quality non-alc alternatives, with the aim of giving Australian consumers more choice and freedom.
